Why do people suck at UX?

In many fields the knowledge you possess is enough. You need to know what does what and how to use it. But UX is not your typical job of simply learning and remembering. It requires ideation all the time. I mean it, all-the-time. You can memorize the terminology and techniques but if you don’t have the skill, nothing will matter.
